Water-Energy Nexus Management for Power Systems

The water system management problem has been widely investigated. However, the interdependencies between and energy systems are significant effective co-optimization is required considering strong interconnections. This paper proposes a two-stage distributionally robust operation model for integrated water-energy nexus including power, gas networked with hub at distribution level wind uncertainty. presence of power uncertainty inevitably leads to risks in optimization model. Accordingly, coherent risk measure, i.e., conditional value-at-risk, combined objective determine risk-averse schemes. mean-risk solved by Bender's decomposition method. Both day-ahead real-time cost minimized an optimal set scheduling multi-energy infrastructures. Case studies focus on investigating among four interconnected systems. Numerical results validate economic effectiveness IES through optimally coordinating proposed can provide operators powerful scheme minimise under caused renewable uncertainties, thus benefiting customers lower utility bills.
